What a day!

Today was a very interesting day. It was really a nice, peaceful day. Except for almost burning the house down cooking dinner!! Well, there were no flames, but lots of smoke. No damage done! But something interesting happened today...went to pick up some pictures at my local drugstore, and was shocked when I walked up to the counter. They had a picture I had taken of my nephew blown up to an 8x10 and another 5x7 next to it, advertising their photo borders and such! While I was very proud that a picture I had taken was deemed worthy to go on their counter, they had not asked my permission to use it. And they must have gone through my photos to see it. Hmmm...
Anyway, these are some of the pictures I took of adorable little Caleb Elijah, one of which is proudly displayed on the counter at the store! Ha!

What an amazing day!!!

My husband and I went to the hospital today and I took maternity photos of my cousin Alexis. I was worried about how they would come out, given we were set up in her hospital room. But WOW!!!! I had prayed the whole way there that God would help me get at least a few good shots...and on the way home I was thanking Him for all the great shots we got!! I have to say it has been a huge blessing being a part of their engagement, wedding, and now the coming arrival of their sweet little girl Avery. You can really feel the love these two have for each other!!

Really exciting photoshoot today!

Today I am going to be taking my cousin's maternity photos! The long-awaited day is finally here! I was actually supposed to take them last week, but on the day of the shoot as I was setting up, waiting on them to get back from the doctor, I get the news she has been put in the hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy! Of course, the safety of mom and baby are the most important factor...but what about our pictures!!! Well, with my darling husband's help I am going to do her pictures in the hospital! In honor of this happy day I am sharing a picture from my beautiful cousins' engagement session and wedding, that I was also privileged to be a part of!! Very first blog!

Since this is my very first post, I thought I would start out with a picture of my husband and I from our wedding. We had a very small wedding, but too many blessings to count. It seemed almost surreal how everything came together perfectly at the last minute (thanks to my amazing cousins and heaven-sent Mother-in-law!), and turned into the best day of my life. We chose the date March 15th, because we met in March when we were 15!
